Visualising London’s most controversial conversations.
BKChat LDN arrived as one of the most distinctive voices in British youth culture. Raw, unfiltered conversation that built a global audience entirely on its own terms. Its popularity has seen it reach heights of over 50 million views since its debut in 2016.
Over eight seasons from their third, I took charge of their complete motion graphics package: title sequences, bugs, lower thirds, and animations that had to match the show’s electric energy.
As the show grew from its trademark kitchen set in London to productions in Houston and New York, the visual identity had to scale with it: staying true to what made BKChat feel real while looking like it belonged on an international stage.
A relationship that’s lasted eight seasons… and counting.

2019
The Internet’s most spoken about debate show: back in the kitchen, back with a vengeance.
Returning back to where it all began, BkChat crashed back onto our screens – bringing back the LDN edition for its fourth series; and eighth overall. Creating a gritty yet polished and angular look and feel, bold yellow meets with ripped torn edges signifying the urban urgency this series delivers.
BkChat LDN Season 5
2021
BkChat returned back to our screens for its fifth LDN edition; and ninth overall. The design device of sticky tape, rough paper and scrawled text represents the show’s nature of uncovering unfiltered opinions, free from polished perfection. The cast are replicated multiple times in their own few seconds of introduction, illustrating their multiple points of view. Finally the trademark colours of blue and golden yellow tie everything together, from the question screen and transitions, presenting another attention-grabbing season.

2024
After a three year hiatus, the show came back with a vengeance with a whole new look, set and cast.
I was back on hand to take their supplied logo and bring the vision to life – keeping it gritty, sharp and yet glossy, with the apt device of flying broken glass conveying unfiltered no-holds barred opinion.
